SEGA and Sports Interactive have announced that the Football Manager 27 Launch Preview will be free to play on PC and Mac from October 29 through November 3, giving players a chance to try out this year’s changes before the game officially launches on November 10.
The free preview starts October 29 at 2 PM ET and runs until November 3 at 1 PM ET with access through Steam, the Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. There’s no additional sign-up needed and all game modes will be available, so players can jump in and get their managerial careers started.
Pre-purchases also open on October 29 with a 10% discount for anyone looking to pick up the game early. Those who pre-purchase can keep playing after the free period ends on November 3 and their saves will carry over to the full game on November 10 without having to start over. Game Pass subscribers can also keep playing through their subscriptions.
The Launch Preview replaces what was previously called Beta or Advanced Access with Sports Interactive saying this year’s early version should be closer to the finished game than in previous years. Players will find a cleaner interface with easier navigation, an improved match engine and more control over training and tactics through new features like Tactical Tweaks and Tactical Effectiveness. There are also improvements to Match Day visuals, Continue Flow customization and several returning features.
Football Manager 27 will cost $59.99, although some club and player assets might be missing from the preview as licensing approvals are still being worked out. More details on the Launch Preview can be found on the official Football Manager website.
