Forza Motorsports developer Turn 10 and Forza Horizon and Fable developer Playground Games will become one entity following Xbox’s organizational changes.
TJ Denzer September 22, 2026 10:20 AM Playground Games 1As Xbox announced its latest layoffs, it also announced organizational changes which saw Forza Motorsports developer Turn 10 and Forza Horizon and Fable developer Playground Games merged into one studio. The merged studios will continue to work on the Forza series, as well as the upcoming Fable.
Xbox Chief Content Officer shared details of the change to Turn 10 and Playground Games in the Xbox Wire post announcing layoffs. Here’s what Booty had to say about the future of Turn 10 and Playground:
Turn 10 and Playground Games have worked on the Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon series, respectively, since their inception. Playground Games just recently released Forza Horizon 6, which News Editor Donovan Erskine gave a 9 out of 10 in his review, calling it “gorgeous as ever, with new additions that’ll keep players behind the wheel for hours on end.” Playground is also working on the new Fable set to launch in 2027.
