The platform arrives as prediction market monthly transaction volumes have risen from $32 million to $12.6 billion in two years, with no established consumer comparison layer yet serving the category.

Prediction markets have grown from a niche financial instrument into a multi-billion-dollar category, yet consumer discovery and contract comparison remain fragmented across competing platforms. Genius Sports (NYSE: GENI) launched Prediction.com on 17 September 2026, a consumer platform for comparing event contracts and tracking live market probabilities across multiple prediction venues.

A comparison layer for a fragmented market

Monthly notional volume across prediction markets grew from $32 million in January 2024 to $12.6 billion in January 2026, according to the SOFTSWISS 2026 industry report, yet the consumer experience has remained scattered across competing platforms with no single destination for discovery or price comparison. Equity research firm Bernstein expects annual volume to reach roughly $240 billion in 2026, around 370% above 2025, and potentially $1 trillion by 2030 — forecasts rather than recorded growth.

Prediction.com aggregates pricing from major prediction market platforms into a single destination, enabling users to view how equivalent contracts are priced across different venues.

The platform includes a proprietary cross-venue, multi-leg pricing engine for comparing multi-leg contract combinations.

For sports markets, Prediction.com combines Genius Sports’ live game data feeds with real-time prediction market pricing, allowing users to follow play-by-play action alongside changing probabilities, prices and market signals.

Built on the Legend acquisition

The platform launches through Legend, the digital sports and gaming media network Genius Sports acquired in a transaction valued at up to $1.2 billion. That deal, announced on 5 February 2026, comprised $900 million payable at closing — $800 million in cash and $100 million in stock — and an earnout of up to $300 million split evenly across two years, tied to profitability and cash flow thresholds.

Genius Sports confirmed on 1 May 2026 that it had completed the acquisition. Prediction.com builds on Legend’s existing consumer and comparison technology, the same infrastructure that underpins Legend’s portfolio of sports brands, which reached 320 million annual visits from 118 million unique users in 2025.

In early August, Genius Sports announced partnerships with Polymarket and Kalshi covering content, integrity services and marketing, moves that pre-positioned the company ahead of this consumer-facing launch.

Genius Sports already provides official sports data and integrity services to prediction market platforms, and has positioned Prediction.com as a consumer discovery and comparison layer for a category it says is growing but remains fragmented.

Regulatory backdrop

The launch comes against a contested European regulatory picture. In June 2026, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland signed a joint declaration agreeing to act together against prediction market platforms that operate without a local licence.

Several countries, including Italy, France, Belgium, Germany and Poland, require a local gambling licence for prediction markets.

In a note published on 14 September 2026, two days before the launch, Genius Sports co-founder and chief executive Mark Locke set out why the company expects to benefit regardless of how prediction market regulation settles:

‘Prediction markets will remain a meaningful part of US sports trading, but I do not expect today’s structure to survive unchanged. Some current advantages will disappear, and today’s winners may not be tomorrows.’

Genius Sports has positioned Prediction.com as a consumer discovery and comparison layer, and the company says the platform will expand its coverage, functionality and partner integrations over time as the global prediction market ecosystem develops.
