Madden NFL 27 Ultimate Team Season 2 Is Live, and Tug of War Is

Madden NFL 27 Ultimate Team Season 2 is officially live, bringing a fresh batch of programs, player items, Field Pass rewards, and the return of a fan-favorite game mode.

EA Sports kicks off Season 2 with the Game Time program, which focuses on players who can make explosive plays. You can claim one of two of these Game Time players and upgrade them to a higher OVR through gameplay. Players can complete Challenges, objectives, and H2H events to earn new rewards, while special Evolutions provide additional ways to upgrade their Ultimate Team roster.

The biggest returning piece of content in Season 2, however, is Tug of War. The fan-favorite game mode is back and features the same rules as previous iterations of Madden Ultimate Team. The first score wins, but each drive gives you only one down. You’ll have to continually go back and forth with an opponent until one of you comes out with the win. Tug of War offers a slew of Game Time rewards, which can be earned fairly quickly given how fast the matches go.

Season 2 also introduces the Unstoppables and Breakouts programs. Unstoppables celebrates some of the NFL’s most dominant players by completing challenges, while Breakouts focuses on players who have emerged as important contributors for their teams, allowing you to earn Badges to upgrade players and earn additional rewards, such as Evos.

Finally, Season 2 of MUT in Madden 27 introduces plenty of new player cards to collect as well, including Kenneth Walker, Blake Miller, Kirk Cousins, Carlton Davis III, and David Bailey, all of whom receive 82 OVRs. You can also claim a bunch of new rewards through the Season 2 Field Pass, which features 50 levels of content that you can earn by playing MUT.

That’s everything that EA Sports has announced for Season 2 of Madden 27 Ultimate Team, but there should be additional updates coming down the line as the season progresses.
